Esthetica unveils portable disinfection towers using ultraviolet light

With cleanliness and rigorous hygiene at the forefront of operators’ minds, Esthetica has launched the UV-C Disinfection Towers to reduce the risk of virus and bacteria transmission in spas.

The Disinfection Towers can be used as part of a multipronged disinfection strategy to sanitise spas, in combination with conventional cleaning tools and methods.

The trolley-mounted product uses UV-C light to disinfect rooms and is easily transportable around the spa and can be stowed neatly without taking up a lot of space.

According to Esthetica, UV-C light is proven to deter harmful germs as it’s capable of breaking down their DNA and RNA, triggering mutations which prevent them from reproducing.

When using the tower, the area being disinfected should be completely screened off as the ultraviolet rays emitted are harmful to skin and eyes – there should also be no plants, humans or animals present when disinfection is in process.

Lalit Kumar Sharma, MD, said: “Esthetica’s promise to deliver user-friendly effective products can be seen in the UV-C Disinfection Tower.”

In order to make the process easy for our users, Esthetica has installed safety features such as Delay Start and Motion Sensor.

The sensor will deactivate the lamp if any movement is detected within its range of six to eight meters and the delay start feature will turn the UV-C Disinfection Tower on after 15 seconds.

Following the disinfection process, there is no aftercare necessary.

The UV-C Disinfection Towers come in two options, either 55W and 95W, suitable for approximately 400sq ft and 650sq ft of area, respectively.

The tower can be controlled through a mobile app or select the tower with the built-in function of a Digital Timer Model.

The new product been tested by a NABL Certified Laboratory in India for its efficacy.
